Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies such as localStorage serve comparable purposes. We use them for two things: keeping you signed in (essential) and understanding how visitors use Taskive (analytics). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
When you first visit Taskive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you choose Accept, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected — we run Google Analytics with Consent Mode defaulting every storage type to denied. Essential cookies (needed to sign in and keep the site secure) are always active because the service cannot function without them.
Your choice is remembered in your browser (via localStorage). To change it, clear the taskive-cookie-consent value in your browser storage (or your site data for taskive.ai) and reload — the banner will reappear.
| Name / pattern | Category | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__Secure-authjs.session-token | Essential | Taskive (NextAuth) | Keeps you signed in; secure, HttpOnly session cookie | Up to 30 days |
authjs.csrf-token, authjs.callback-url | Essential | Taskive (NextAuth) | CSRF protection and sign-in redirect handling | Session |
taskive-cookie-consent (localStorage) | Essential | Taskive | Remembers your cookie consent choice | Until cleared |
_ga, _ga_LZ7RSYLPT6 | Analytics (consent required) | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors and sessions to measure traffic and usage. Only set after you accept analytics cookies. | Up to 2 years |
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LZ7RSYLPT6) to understand aggregate, pseudonymous usage — which pages are visited, referral sources, and approximate location. We do not collect advertising identifiers and do not use the data for ad personalization. Analytics runs only with your consent. Google acts as a data processor; see Google’s cookie information. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Beyond the consent banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings — block or delete cookies, or use private/incognito mode. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Taskive. Blocking or clearing analytics cookies has no effect on functionality.
